We began work on this project midway through construction. We worked to break up the scale of the living room to create moments of intimacy. The client loved the striation of green-black marble, which they selected beforehand for the countertops and dining table top.
A theme of dark walnut wood and a sprayed stone texture was used to complement the marble texture. Cabinets were layered using curved panels against a rough green-stone textured backdrop to mimic the marble, but provide a light surface against the living area.
A wall skirting of 400mm runs throughout the space, grounding the walls, and becomes a seat wall where it meets the main wall.
Custom curved wall corners were used to create seamless spaces at the study room.
Put together, the interior details gently informed the character of the home, turning it into a warm and cosy haven for the owners to do their day-to-day.
